Every child is expected to use an agenda. It is an excellent way to learn organizational skills and to assume ownership for schoolwork. It also allows parents and teachers to communicate information or news. The agenda will be filled in every Monday and will provide the highlights for the week. Occasionally, new information will come to our attention throughout the week. Therefore, I would ask that parents check the agenda nightly, initial to indicate they have read the day's entry, and empty the front agenda pocket.
When writing me a note in the agenda, please remember to use the appropriate area so that your child is able to access the other space for listing classroom information and weekly word wall words. I encourage you to remind your child to bring the note to my attention as agendas may not always be checked daily.
